Mindfulness
& Meditation

I lead monthly classes and short introduction courses in mindfulness-based meditation. With consistent practice, meditation empowers you to master your own thoughts, bringing calm to the body and quietening the mind. Through observation of your thoughts, connection with the sensations of the body and breath, and noticing emotions and feelings as they arise, you can achieve peace and a sense of connection.  Meditation is a perfect panacea to modern day life where we often live in a state of fight or flight, over stimulated and under pressure.  Life doesn't have to be this way. Learning to meditate is the best gift you can give yourself and opens up a new way of living in the present moment with no regrets of the past or fear for the future.

Mantra 

Mantra is a form of meditation that involves chanting sacred Sanskrit words while focusing on the breath with the intention to quiet the mind and cultivate spiritual energy. It is widely regarded as one of the easiest and most powerful forms of meditation for achieving states of enlightenment.  Traditional mantras are held in high regard within the yoga community, each mantra holds a different significance and many practitioners believe that the repeated chanting of certain mantras can help both the physical and emotional body to heal.
